يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ ١٨٣
O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you—so perhaps you will become mindful ˹of Allah˺. (Surah al Baqarah:183)

Jilbab

The term ‘Jilbab’ (In Arabic جِلْبَاب) refers to any long and loose-fit outer garment worn by some Muslim women when going out in public or in front of non-Mahram men. It is designed to offer protection and it is part of the Muslim woman's identity.

The modern jilbab covers the entire body, fulfilling the Quranic requirements of covering and it can be a one-piece or two-pieces garment (with a skirt or abaya underneath), starting from the head with a headband, with or without sleeves and it can be worn along with niqab and gloves for ideal coverage.
